The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five officers for alleged acts of misconduct involving the unauthorised use of police uniforms on social media.
In a press release issued , the Police Administration said the action was taken to uphold discipline and protect the integrity and professional image of the Service.
The interdicted officers are:
- G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale
- G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere
- G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo
- G/Cpl. Charles Oduro
- PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor
According to the statement, the officers are alleged to have appeared in police uniforms on social media platforms without authorization, an act considered contrary to established regulations governing the use of official attire.
The officers have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) for further investigations and possible disciplinary action in line with Police Service procedures.
The Police Service reiterated its commitment to maintaining professional conduct, discipline, and public trust, warning officers against actions that could bring the institution into disrepute.
It also assured the public that appropriate sanctions would be applied should the officers be found culpable after investigations are concluded.
