Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, says the government is taking proactive diplomatic steps to rally strong fan support for the Black Stars as they prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana has been drawn into Group L alongside England, Panama, and Croatia a grouping many analysts have already described as one of the most challenging in the tournament.
In a post on X on Saturday, December 6, 2025, Ablakwa revealed that his ministry is collaborating with Ghana’s diplomatic missions in the United States and Canada to secure opportunities for Ghanaian fans to travel and support the national team.
We have unflinching confidence in our heroic Black Stars to make us proud despite being drawn in a competitive group, he wrote.
He added that the ministry is leveraging strong diplomatic ties to ensure a significant number of Ghanaian supporters can cheer on the team in the host nations. Our supporters are globally renowned for their passion. Ghana shall be unstoppable! We shall succeed for God and Country, he affirmed.
