Vice President to Inspect Proposed Free Zones Industrial Park Site in Gomoa Central

Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is expected to inspect the proposed site for a Free Zones Industrial Park in the Gomoa Central District as part of government’s 24-hour economy agenda.

The visit forms part of efforts to assess the readiness and suitability of the location for industrial development aimed at boosting manufacturing, job creation, and export-led growth. The proposed industrial park is expected to serve as a hub for businesses operating under Ghana’s Free Zones framework.

Officials say the inspection will allow the Vice President to interact with local authorities, technical experts, and community stakeholders to evaluate infrastructure, land availability, and environmental considerations.

The Free Zones Industrial Park initiative is a key pillar of the government’s broader economic strategy to promote continuous production, attract foreign and local investment, and reduce unemployment.

Residents and local leaders in Gomoa Central have expressed optimism about the project, describing it as a potential catalyst for economic transformation in the area.
