Anti-corruption campaigner and private legal practitioner, Martin Kpebu, has been detained by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), according to reports circulating late Tuesday evening.
The detention has sparked immediate and fiery condemnation from a leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Francis-Xavier Sosu, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina Constituency.

The specific reasons for Kpebu’s detention by the OSP remain officially unclear, though the move comes amid a long-running and public feud between the lawyer and the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng. Kpebu has been a vocal critic of the OSP’s methods and performance, particularly concerning the handling of high-profile corruption cases.
